What I learned from the internet

As much as the internet can be a complete dumpster fire, it also has some golden nuggets too.

Some time during the holiday void, I was scrolling on Insta and came across this reel of a person yapping away. We all know how much I love the yappin’.

She was explaining her way of approaching 2026. Energetically. Oh yeah, this is going to be good.

*sips coffee* *clears throat*

She explained that instead of showing up in 2026 working toward whatever XYZ goal/intention/desire you want, to LIVE as if you already have it.

Let me explain. Picture this, you know one of your goals in 2026 is to buy a new house. Instead of spending all of your time on Zillow and connecting with your realtor, to also take action in a way that would reflect you having already bought your new home. What would you do?

I’ll get vulnerable with you. We are hoping to bring baby number two in the world this year. While we can put all of our efforts towards this, it’s one of those things that the Universe ultimately is in charge of (well and the science of your body).

So, instead of day dreaming about being pregnant. I’m trying to act and make movements in way that I would if I actually was.

Now, I’m not over here buying a crib or installing the car seat. But I am taking note of what would be ideal for me to do if a baby was going to arrive in 2026.

For me, that looks like dialing in all of our interior home renovations (we have a lot to adjust to create a third functioning bedroom), finding a new pediatrician that we like for Cyrus (this can take time), running our finances and adjusting our monthly budgeting to create comfort in case spending increases, preparing my body as if it were already sustaining new life, being gentle with my work load by not taking on any new farming projects or yoga classes, etc.

And to be honest, this mindset shift feels good. It takes my brain from a state of discomfort and unknowing, to a place of surrender and trust. I recognize that a house is a bit different than bringing a baby into the world, but your heart still spends time longing for both of these things. They’re both huge chapters to walk in to as a person.

What would look different in your life if you already had the ‘goal’? How would you be living? How would you be tending to your body or your relationships? If it’s a new dog, would you already be walking every day in these colder temperatures? If it’s a new career path, would you already be adjusting your morning routine?

Starting somewhere gives your energy the movement and frequency it needs to let the Universe know you’re still here. You’re ready.
